Took two of us half hour to put it together. Fairly good instructions. Base seems really sturdy and well made. The futon is easy to pull out to make a double bed (plenty of room for two round adults!) Like that the cover keeps it neat and could probably be dry cleaned - not sure about washing it? Think it will make a great guest bed and occasional sofa and you could always replace mattress in future.
